Bruce Price

Bruce Price is the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and General Counsel for the York Regional Police Association (YRPA). He joined the YRPA as legal counsel in 2016 and became the CAO in 2021.

Prior to the YRPA, Bruce was a Business Agent and Legal Counsel at the Service Employees International Union Local 2, from 2006 to 2016. His time at SEIU Local 2 was preceded by a role as legal counsel at a provincial construction union, from 2004 to 2006.

Bruce has appeared before a number of administrative tribunals, including the Ontario Labour Relations Board, Nova Scotia Labour Board, Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal, and labour arbitrators. He also led the YRPA's recent by-law overhaul and oversees the YRPA's facility and business operations.

Bruce holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree from York University, a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, a Master’s Degree in Industrial Relations from the University of Toronto, and a Master’s Degree in Law from Osgood Hall Law School.
