Police officers don’t need ‘pandemic pay,’ says police union

The Police Association of Ontario (PAO) says their 18,000 municipal police personnel members don’t need the temporary $4 per hour pay bump. Bruce Chapman, PAO President, says the union believes the money should go to “deserving health care workers who are directly involved in fighting this pandemic.”
