Police increasingly face COVID-19 threats, says police association president

The head of the Canadian Police Association says he is worried about the increasing number of COVID-19 threats officers face while responding to calls. “During this particular pandemic there is a very much heightened sense of anxiety,” said Tom Stamatakis in Vancouver. “That just goes through the roof.” There have been reports across the country of people claiming they have the novel coronavirus and intentionally coughing on officers.
