Four Nominations for Officer Stacey Gordon

The impact of an officer is often measured by their commitment to both their profession and their community. In this case, that commitment is clear. Officer Stacey Gordon has received four separate nominations for this year’s awards program, reflecting the broad recognition of her contributions—both on and off duty.

As a member of the Saugeen Shores Police Service, Stacey plays a key role in several community initiatives, including the Positive Ticketing Program, Cops for Kibbles, and the Police Social Media page. She is a familiar face at school events, parades, and charity initiatives such as Shop With a Cop, consistently working to strengthen relationships between the police and the public. Beyond her official responsibilities, Stacey is also known for her ability to connect with people, offering guidance and support in difficult situations while maintaining a level-headed and fair approach to policing.

Outside of her work with the police service, Stacey has dedicated herself to helping others in ways that extend well beyond her job description. Following the outbreak of war in Ukraine, she played a leading role in helping refugees settle in the community, even welcoming one into her own home. She is actively involved in various community support efforts, from assisting those in need to participating in nearly every local event.

One nomination stated:
"There isn’t an extra mile left that she hasn’t already gone."
