This hero flies north to Keewaywin Reserve in Northern Ontario every two weeks, often staying for as long as three weeks at a time. Over the past two years, he has made a meaningful and lasting impact in the community. He is always looking for ways to help wherever he can—whether that means lending a hand at the school or sitting up all night with someone who is struggling with mental health challenges.
His phone is always on, and members of the community know they can call him whenever they need support. His door is open to anyone who needs someone to talk to, showing just how deeply dedicated he is to the people he serves.
When he first began working there more than two years ago, he spent over a year as the only police officer on duty in the community. Through many sleepless nights, he remained committed to keeping the community safe while continuing to find ways to support and uplift those around him.
