I am proud to nominate Lindsay, an outstanding member of our Communications team for the past four years, for this well-deserved recognition. From day one, Lindsay has embodied the very best of our profession—kindness, empathy, professionalism, and meticulous attention to detail. Her respect for others and natural ability to uplift those around her make her one of the most influential members of our 19-person team.
In a role that can often feel heavy, Lindsay brings light. Her humor, positivity, and steady encouragement have helped transform our bureau into a supportive, collaborative, and genuinely enjoyable workplace. She has played a pivotal role in building a culture where people feel valued and motivated to do their best work.
Over 2023–2024, Lindsay demonstrated exceptional resilience while handling deeply sensitive incidents, including a homicide and a domestic homicide. She remained composed, compassionate, and highly effective under pressure—earning Chief’s Commendation letters in recognition of her professionalism.
Beyond her own performance, Lindsay is a dedicated mentor. She has helped train and inspire new team members, creating a ripple effect of confident, capable communicators who reflect her work ethic and positive spirit. Her leadership has revitalized our service and strengthened our team dynamic.
Her impact also extends into the community. Lindsay actively supports job shadow students from Loyalist College, volunteers at job fairs, and participates in career nights. She has been featured on the Belleville Police Service website, and her contributions are recognized during Loyalist College’s 911 Communications Course opening ceremonies.
All of this she balances while being a devoted mother of two, a supportive spouse to a frontline officer, and even a foster for puppies—approaching each role with the same compassion and commitment she brings to work every day.
Lindsay is more than dependable—she is transformative. Her presence has helped shape a small service with an exceptionally big heart. I submit this nomination with the utmost respect and confidence that Lindsay is truly deserving of this recognition.
