Constable Liam McCowell is one of the kindest officers one could ever meet. He treats everyone he encounters with the same respect and dignity as he would his own family. A dedicated volunteer with Special Olympics Ontario for many years, Liam consistently goes above and beyond to support the organization, regularly organizing fundraisers—both large and small—for his squad and the community.

In 2023, Liam played a key role in helping his squad raise $2,000 for the Special Olympics Torch Run. In 2024, he was part of a team nominated for Officer(s) of the Year in recognition of his outstanding service. That same year, Liam and his squad responded to a high-risk weapons call involving multiple firearms. Thanks to their swift and decisive actions, all parties were safely arrested without injury.

Liam is a role model, an exemplary officer, and a trusted friend—qualities that make him truly deserving of this recognition.
