I am proud to nominate Kaitlyn Good for the Community Role Model – Police Services Hero of the Year Award. Through her role as a Recruitment Officer, she has made a lasting and meaningful contribution to the strength, trust, and well-being of our community.
While many people see recruitment as a hiring function, Kaitlyn has transformed it into true community service. Over the years, she has worked tirelessly to build relationships with youth, families, educators, and community members, helping people see policing as a path of service, leadership, and positive impact. She does not simply fill positions — she opens doors, guides futures, and creates is especially dedicated to mentorship. She takes the time to meet with young people, answer questions, ease concerns, and encourage those who may not otherwise see themselves in policing. Her guidance has helped individuals build confidence, pursue education, and choose meaningful careers rooted in service and integrity.
Her work also strengthens trust between police services and the public. By being approachable, transparent, and genuinely invested in people, she helps bridge gaps and build understanding. Community members feel comfortable speaking with her, and she represents policing with professionalism, empathy, and respect.
Beyond recruitment, Kaitlyn consistently goes above and beyond — attending community events, supporting outreach initiatives, and being present where it matters most. She shows people that police services are made up of real individuals who care deeply about the communities they serve.
The impact of her work is long-term and far-reaching. Every person she mentors, supports, or guides into a career of service becomes part of her legacy of positive change. She embodies the spirit of a true community role model through her dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to helping others succeed.
It would be a privilege to see Kaitlyn recognized for the incredible difference she continues to make in our community.
