I work at a daycare, and we wanted to have the Brantford Police come visit the kids, talk about safety, and for the kids to see the cars up close in a friendly experience. Jay was able to do this for us and has continued doing it for what’s been 4 years now. It started off with the big SWOT vehicle which the kids thought was so cool then it turned into many other vehicles and other police attending including the K-9 unit. Jay has brought props and boards for the kids to explore as well as colouring books and swag to take home. He always allows the kids to ask questions and crawl through the SWOT truck!
Seeing the kids reactions and smiles interacting with all of this means a lot and we can’t thank Jay enough for going out of his way each summer and doing this for us! We think it’s important for the kids to see the police officers and interact with them to know they are someone safe to go to for help.
