I am honoured to nominate Professor Evan Harrison for the Police Hero Honour Roll Award. As both a Lambton College educator and an active member of the London Police Service, Professor Harrison exemplifies what modern policing should represent. What makes him truly special is not only his dedication to public safety, but the compassion and integrity he consistently demonstrates in every interaction. He treats every individual with dignity and respect, regardless of circumstance, and models fairness, patience, and professionalism in ways that leave a lasting impact on both the community and his students.
Professor Harrison goes beyond simply enforcing the law—he builds trust. His approach reflects a deep understanding that policing is as much about empathy and communication as it is about authority. In the classroom, he prepares future professionals by sharing real-world insight grounded in ethics and accountability. In the community, he shows that an officer can be firm yet kind, strong yet understanding. His commitment to service makes people feel heard and valued, and that difference matters. Through his leadership and example, he strengthens community relationships and inspires the next generation to serve with honour.
