I would like to recognize Christine Dineen for her exceptional service as our School Resource Officer, supporting students in Collingwood and Wasaga Beach. Christine consistently goes above and beyond her assigned duties, demonstrating remarkable dedication to the safety and well-being of our youth.
She has participated in numerous community panels and parent information sessions—often outside her regular hours—educating families on critical issues such as human trafficking, recognizing warning signs, and protecting their children. Her commitment extends beyond the classroom and school grounds; on Wednesdays, she uses her lunch hour to quietly serve dozens of children at Hope Chapel, ensuring those most in need are cared for.
Christine also collaborates closely with community service clubs and local partners, strengthening the network that supports student safety and community well-being.
As a Public School Trustee, I rely on her professionalism, sound judgment, and proactive approach to keeping our schools safe and informed. As a parent, I see firsthand how naturally she connects with students, earning their trust through genuine kindness and authenticity. Her impact on our schools and community is nothing short of extraordinary.
