Sergeant Eric Mueller, of the Russell County OPP Detachment, was shot while responding to a disturbance call at a home. Sergeant Mueller was a dedicated member of the OPP family, whose contributions to the organization and the communities he served did not go unnoticed. He was described by his colleagues as a strong team player who could be counted on whenever necessary. He led by example and his death is mourned by the entire police community and province.

Provincial Constable Grzegorz (Greg) Pierzchala, of the Haldimand County Detachment, was shot and killed while responding to a motor vehicle collision in Hagersville, Ontario on Tuesday December 27, 2022. His death is mourned by the entire police community and province.

Cst. Andrew Hong was in Missisauga for training when he went to Tim Horton's on his lunch break. He was sitting alone having a coffee when he was ambushed and shot point-blank. The police community across the province is devastated by this shocking, violent murder.

Age: 55

Jeffrey Northrup was killed on July 2 when he was struck by a vehicle while responding to a reported robbery in progress at an underground parking lot at Toronto City Hall. His death was mourned by countless members of the Toronto Police Service, including his colleagues in 52 Division downtown.

Ontario Provincial Constable Marc Hovingh, 53, a 26-year veteran of the OPP, was killed in the line of duty on November 19, 2020. He was shot by a lone gunman after responding to a call for a trespasser in Gore Bay on Manitoulin Island.

Joseph Prevett

Age: 50

Constable Joseph Prevett suffered a fatal heart attack while participating in a joint training exercise at the Ontario Provincial Police K-9 training centre in Gravenhurst, Ontario. He and his partner, Timber, were navigating a course when he suddenly collapsed. He was transported to a local hospital where he passed away. Constable Prevett had served in law enforcement for 16 years. He began his career with Peel Regional Police in 1998, and then joined Thunder Bay in 2003. He is survived by his wife and family. He was 50 years of age.

Constable Zivcic while responding to a call was thrown from his police car in a crash that would claim his life. His organs were donated to those who needed them.
