ACOP brings together Ontario’s police association Presidents to discuss emerging issues, share best practices, and provide strategic guidance to help shape the PAO’s advocacy and priorities.

The Police Association of Ontario (PAO) will host its Advisory Council of Presidents (ACOP) Meeting on Tuesday, September 15th in St. Catharines. ACOP is composed of current association Presidents who meet several times a year to discuss matters of strategic importance to the PAO, including new and emerging issues facing our sector. The forum provides an opportunity to share critical updates, exchange best practices, and gather invaluable feedback to help guide the PAO’s advocacy efforts, programs, and priorities.
Please note that this meeting is open to association Presidents only — should your association wish to send an additional representative along with your President, please contact PAO Events and Member Services Manager, Ashley Bain at ashley.bain@pao.ca to submit your request. While there is no fee to attend the ACOP meeting, pre-registration by the noted deadline is required in order to participate.
Please submit any recommendations for the meeting agenda directly through the registration form. The full meeting agenda and meeting materials will be distributed closer to the meeting date.
Following the ACOP meeting, if you plan to stay overnight and would like to be included in the dinner plans, please email Ashley Bain at ashley.bain@pao.ca. Dinner will be at your own expense, and details, including the time and location, will be shared with interested attendees as they become available.

PAO Event Cancellation Policy:
Registrants may cancel their registration by providing the reason for the cancellation to pao@pao.ca.
Cancellation requests must be received at least seven (7) full days before the first scheduled session to be eligible for a refund, minus a $50 administration fee. For example, if the first session begins at 9:00am on a Tuesday, the cancellation request must be received before 9:00am the previous Tuesday. After this deadline, registration fees are non-refundable. Refunds will be processed within five (5) business days and issued to the original payment method. For cheque payments, an EFT will be issued
Substitutions are permitted at any time for no additional charge. To substitute a colleague for your registration, please provide their name, title, and contact information to events@pao.ca. The PAO will maintain a waiting list for each event to help facilitate substitutions.
Paid registration fees may not be transferred between events.
