Why Brands Are Important  

A brand is more than a logo; it brings to life how you want to be seen and recognized. It provides familiarity, meaning, and reassurance, creating a unified voice. This rebranding effort, influenced by our 2023-2026 Strategic Plan, emphasizes our commitment to continuous improvement and effective communication.

Significance of the Logo  

  • The Police Association of Ontario: The logo spells out our name to build recognition, with the acronym used internally. 
  • Shield: Symbolizes the duty to protect and serve, and unifies tradition, identity, and belonging. 
  • Trillium: Connects us to Ontario’s heritage and communities, being the province’s official emblem since 1937. 
  • Stripes: Represent safety, wellness, and advocacy, derived from police rank stripes, signifying progression and authority.
